The Education Bureau has revamped the new academic structure website, enriching the information it contains and making it more user-friendly.
The new academic structure "334" website has five new areas - for parents; students; principals and teachers; employers; and universities and post-secondary institutions - for these groups to get information of interest and specific concern.
Information is divided into seven categories - curriculum, assessment, learning and teaching, school curriculum planning, publications and multimedia information, multiple pathways and related activities.
New features include a one-stop access to teaching resources of the new academic structure's different subjects.
The bureau also held a seminar today for parents of the first cohort of new senior secondary students, to enhance communication in the run-up to the implementation of the new academic structure in September.
Guest speakers discussed new academic structure topics including curriculum, assessment, subject selection, entrance requirements to university and post-secondary institutions, and employers' expectations and requirements.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Secretary for Education Dr Chan Ka-ki said the new academic structure is an important milestone in Hong Kong's education development, catering for students' different needs, offering them multiple pathways and fostering whole-person development and life-long learning.
