Immigration and Police officers arrested 23 illegal workers and five employers in a crackdown on illegal employment on June 9 and 10.
Nine workers, aged 27 to 55, and three employers, aged 30 to 51, were arrested in 10 target locations, including restaurants, a dance centre, a needlework shop, stalls and an exhibition centre.
Officers arrested another five workers, aged 27 to 50, and two employers, aged 42 and 55, in warehouses and recycling yards in Yuen Long and Pat Heung, and a laundry in Tsing Yi.
Nine Mainland visitors, aged 23 to 66, were arrested for breaching their conditions of stay by being involved in parallel goods trading on Castle Peak Road, San Tin, and Kwu Tung Road, Lok Ma Chau.
Officers seized milk powder, food, wine, skincare products and electronic components.
A total of 2,340 Mainlanders and 14 Hong Kong residents have been arrested for parallel goods trading since 2012. Of these, 216 Mainlanders have been prosecuted, and 206 of them have been jailed.
