Police have arrested 955 people in relation to the occupation movement, while 75 people turned themselves in, Commissioner of Police Andy Tsang said today.
During a press briefing after the last occupied area in Causeway Bay was cleared today, Mr Tsang noted that traffic and public order have been restored.
He said officers are investigating the cases and more arrests will be made soon, adding that they expect to complete all the investigations in three months.
Mr Tsang revealed that so far, 1,972 people have lodged complaints against the Police, involving 106 cases. He stressed that each case will be handled in a fair and impartial manner.
He said the Police had exercised a high degree of tolerance and restraint during the past 79 days of the movement.
Mr Tsang expressed his gratitude to all Police officers for their hard work, while also appealing to people to respect the rule of law and not to re-occupy roads.
