The Centre for Health Protection is monitoring a Middle East Respiratory Syndrome case in Thailand.
The patient is an 18-year-old man from Kuwait who travelled to Bangkok on July 25 and was hospitalised.
His condition improved and he was discharged from hospital on August 4.
To date, 1,792 MERS cases have been reported to the World Health Organisation, including at least 640 deaths.
Pilgrims visiting Mecca should be vigilant against MERS and consult healthcare providers before travel to review the risk.
Travel agents organising tours to the Middle East are advised not to arrange camel rides and activities involving the animals which may increase the risk of infection.
