A new library at Dawning Views Shopping Plaza on 23 Yat Ming Road, Fanling will open tomorrow to serve the public and district residents.
Occupying 550 sq m, Fanling South Public Library has a collection of 50,000 items, including Chinese and English books, reference materials and compact discs. About 100 local and overseas newspapers and periodical titles are also available.
The library comprises an Extension Activities Room, Internet & Digital Service Workstations, Kid’s Internet and Digital Service Workstations. It also provides express check-in service as well as self-service borrowing and renewal service.
In addition to organising activities such as book displays and storytelling for children, it welcomes schools and cultural and educational organisations to arrange group visits to learn more about its facilities and services.
The library will open from 9am to 8pm from Tuesdays to Fridays, from 9am to 5pm on Saturdays, and from 9am to 1pm on Sundays and public holidays. It will be closed on Mondays.
