Hongkong Post will release the world’s first set of definitive stamps featuring landforms and landscapes, on July 24.
The stamp set and other philatelic products will feature the Hong Kong Global Geopark of China, promoting earth science and raising public awareness of Hong Kong’s natural environment.
The set comprises 16 denominations showcasing geopark highlights, such as the High Island Reservoir East Dam, Tai Long Wan and Bride’s Pool.
In parallel, the 2006 Hong Kong Definitive Stamps on the theme of birds will continue to be on sale while stocks last.
Official First Day Covers will go on sale at all post offices from July 10. Advance orders for additional philatelic products can be made online.
