Hong Kong, Guangdong and Macau signed a tripartite cultural co-operation plan for 2014-18 at the 15th Greater Pearl River Delta Cultural Co-operation Meeting in Guangzhou today.
Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing said the five-year plan can develop the advantages of the three places strategically.
He said several areas of co-operation were particularly important, such as the nurturing and exchanging of artists, the strategy to promote high-quality projects, and co-establishing artistic branding.
The three jurisdictions agreed to further strengthen co-operation on public libraries, intangible cultural heritage, and connections between public cultural service mechanisms.
They also tabled a number of collaborative items to enhance co-operation for developing cultural and creative industries.
