An exhibition commemorating the 130th anniversary of the Hong Kong Observatory opened today at the Museum of History.
Entitled “Hong Kong Observatory - Under the Same Sky 130 Years”, the exhibition is co-organised by the observatory and the Leisure & Cultural Services Department and will run until September 2.
Awards in a competition for naming the observatory's mascot were presented at the exhibition’s opening ceremony.
The selected entry - Dr Tin - represents the observatory's close monitoring of the weather.
The observatory will also invite experts to give talks at the exhibition.
